Taylor's professional career started her career on YouTube. She began creating ASMR videos with her smartphone. PewDiePie made her the focus of his video about gaming shortly after she reached 50k subscribers. This was about one and a half months following the release of her first video. After two months, close to 100,000 subscribers, Taylor stopped producing work for her Youtube channel and placed all of her videos on private. This was primarily due to issues with the new technology and becoming overwhelmed by her popularity. After August 2022, and taking a break of a few months, Taylor began to create videos, like the ASMR 10 sleep triggers (35 million hits). The video was released ASMR 20 triggers designed to help you sleep in July 2017. (38 million views as of the end of August in 2022). In August 2017 Shane Dawson interviewed her and she soon reached one million YouTube subscribers. Wired UK estimates that her YouTube advertising earnings were $1000 per week during February of 2019.

Helfer was born in rural Donalda, Alberta, Canada and was the daughter of Dennis Elaine and Dennis Elaine Helfer. She is of German as well as English descent. She was educated at the William E. Hay Composite High School located in Stettler located in Alberta. She had three sisters. Tammy, Tara, and Trena also worked with her on the family farm. An agent scout spotted Helfer aged 17 when she was waiting in line for a movie.
